Where is the closest metro station?

The Takoma metro station on the red line is a short, .1 mile walk from the salon.

Is there public parking available?

There is metered parking near the salon along Laurel Ave and Carroll Ave and a paid public lot at the intersection of Carroll and Laurel Ave behind Georgie’s Barber.

Can I add a tip to my credit card?

We are able to take tips via cash or Venmo, but we can’t add them to your card.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards and cash. Please no checks.

How can I purchase a gift certificate?

How can I purchase product?

You can purchase product from Virtue, R+Co, or Hairstory using our affiliate links (here)! They will be shipped directly to your home. Thank you for supporting our small business!

Which stylist should I see?

Our front desk is always happy to make a recommendation based on your hair and needs! You can also view our Instagram to see examples of each stylist’s work and individual style (just check the highlights!).

Do you have stylists that specialize in curly hair?

Absolutely! We have several stylists who specialize in curly and natural hair. Please give us a call to be matched with the best stylist for your curls!

I want to go platinum/silver/green/pink or correct color from home or another salon - how do I book this?

Any transformational color services require a consultation prior to booking, as these services are booked hourly and this gives you and your stylist a chance to discuss pricing, maintenance, and results. You can book a color consult online or call if you would like to be matched with a specialist!

I’m unhappy with my service - what do I do?

We’re so sorry to hear you don’t love your hair! While we do not offer refunds, we can set you up with a redo if you call within ten days of your original appointment. Please contact our Salon Manager at rowan@scissorandcombsalon.com.
